Dear Friends:
As I start this Weekly Update to you, I hope that this e-mail finds you and all your families doing well, staying safe, and off to a Healthy New Year. Any New Year usually brings about a high degree of excitement, but certainly with the Year 2021 we anticipate so much more happiness and good health than we experienced in the year we just completed. As we all know, a lot of this optimism has to do with Coronavirus and the fact that we have been able to find vaccines that will be the answer to returning all of us to some degree of normalcy. AND I HAVE SOME GREAT NEWS FOR YOU – I GOT MY VACCINE THIS WEEK! That’s right, because of my age and availability and a couple minor health concerns, I was able to get the vaccine on Monday, and I can tell you from first-hand experience that it was basically a non-event. I didn’t even feel the jab in my arm, and I have had absolutely no side effects. I am just excited that I was able to get the vaccine. Just like everyone else, I have to go back in 2-½ weeks for the second dose, and then I will have 95% protection, which is very, very exciting. There are so many incredible reasons why everyone should get the vaccine, so that we can get to what is known as “HERD IMMUNITY”. I know a lot of the information that we have all been hearing, reading about, and watching on television, can be a bit confusing, but I was able to find a video for you which provides an excellent explanation AND a much clearer understanding of the vaccine. So, please take the time to click here for information that will give you tremendous peace of mind and for material that you can share with your family and your Group Members.
The first couple weeks of this New Year have been very uplifting for us here at White Star Tours, because so many of the Groups and the Group Leaders have been calling in with reservations for their Groups for the Year 2021. Of course, there are still apprehensions since so many of the Group Leaders are not able to meet with their Groups and cannot gather at the Centers and their Churches, but they seem to realize that once the vaccine is given to the majority of the people, their Group Members are going to be extremely anxious to travel. So, in turn, they want to get all their trips set up for the year. Please keep that in mind, and also remember the SPECIAL BONUS OFFER we have decided to extend until the end of February. As a reminder, if you book a trip from now until the end of February, you will receive an ADDITIONAL $300 REBATE paid directly to you, the Group Leader, for all your hard work. There is no obligation and no deposit necessary. Just for running an additional trip of three or more nights, this special bonus will come into effect. Why not take advantage of it?
We are also very excited because we have found that there are many Groups that have begun filling their buses for trips reserved throughout the months of March and April. Hearing this good news from our Group Leaders gets everybody reinvigorated here at White Star, and we are looking forward to see those buses on the road within a few weeks. We hope you and your Group can be part of the excitement.
This Week’s Staff Profile
Mike Zervanos
As we have done over the last few weeks, today I am featuring another one of our wonderful Staff Members that many of you have come to know. This week we are featuring Mike Zervanos, who has been with White Star Tours for over 28 years. Mike is the consummate team player. His preciseness and efficiency in our Accounting Department is superseded only by his calm and cooperative presence in our office. He also offers his valuable services with computer issues, as well as many other areas in the company. Mike has many talents and he is our “go-to guy” for any in-house technological issues. Plus, I am extra proud of him because he happens to be my Nephew. Thank you, Mike, for your many, many years of dedication to our Team!
Now it is time for a little fun. The first bit of entertainment we want to offer you for this week features one of the most famous Comedy Teams of all time – Abbott & Costello. Many of you may have seen a lot of their skits, but their most famous bit is entitled “Who’s On First?”. Click here for some really great laughs.
