OUR 26TH WEEKLY UPDATE AND SOME SUGGESTIONS FOR GREAT ENTERTAINMENT

OUR 26TH WEEKLY UPDATE REGARDING THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC, ALONG WITH SOME SUGGESTIONS FOR GREAT ENTERTAINMENT AND SOME GOOD OLD HUMOR

FRIDAY, September 4
FROM CHRIS KRARAS
PRESIDENT OF WHITE STAR TOURS

DEAR FRIENDS:

“TRAVEL MAKES ONE MODEST. YOU SEE WHAT A TINY PLACE YOU OCCUPY IN THE WORLD.”

I greet you once again on behalf of all our Family and Staff here at White Star Tours, and I hope you will be enjoying a wonderful LABOR DAY WEEKEND over the next few days. Isn’t it hard to believe that summer is almost over and that we have traveled so far over the last few months in our battle against the Coronavirus Pandemic? But, I am happy to say WE ARE GAINING ON IT! As you had read through all my Weekly Updates, you know that we have had periods of optimism and periods of pessimism. But, over the last three weeks, things have been getting better, and now we see more and more states are opening up to welcome all of our many White Star Groups to so many great destinations. I know many of you Group Leaders who are reading this email have Groups scheduled to travel over the next couple months. You have received a lot of our information including your itineraries and everything else, and are getting your Groups ready to go. These are such exciting times for all of our White Star Staff, and I am sure it is exciting for you folks to finally be able to get “on the road again”.

We are also excited about the many Groups who have their Holiday Trips all set to go. And now that buses are allowed to be visiting so many of these wonderful destinations and states, it just makes the anticipation of getting out there on the road again even more exciting.

By this time, we hope that all of you have received our 2021 White Star Group Tour Book and that you had a chance to look through it. If, by chance, you have not received this Book, please be sure to call our office as soon as possible so we can have one specially shipped to you so that you can peruse through it in the near future. We are so uplifted and excited at the number of Group Leaders who have called in with their reservations for 2021, as we celebrate our 50th Anniversary in Business. Please take a moment and look through the Book, as we will be waiting for your phone call so we can be sure that you don’t miss out on these great discounted opportunities that we have offered in our Book.

As we mentioned many times in the past, one of the most popular destinations anywhere in this country is Lancaster, PA and their very famous Sight & Sound Theater that produces some of the most incredible and impressive productions anywhere in the United States. As you know, they have had many different shows over the years, including the productions of “Noah”, “Moses”, “Jonah”, and most recently “Jesus”. They are trying something very new and have just introduced the opportunity for anybody that wishes to click on-line and view the entire production of these shows done live. There is a slight charge if you want to watch the entire show. But, remember, these are normally shows that cost $60 per ticket, and you can enjoy them in the comfort of your own home, in your own chair, and see the entire production done live. Once you click on sight-sound.tv, click “Browse” in the upper left corner. Under “Shows Available for Purchase”, click “View All”. Scroll down and see which one you want to watch and just click on it. We suggest you choose the “Rent” button which is usually $5.99 for all the shows that performed in the past. You create an account, which is very easy, and only has to be done one time. You enter your credit card information, click on “Complete Purchase” and enjoy the performance. Maybe over the next couple weeks, you might want to watch two or three of these performances because each one is certainly incredibly entertaining and memorable.

Speaking of Lancaster, PA, this is the home of the Amish People. As you know, the Amish People are usually known as “Plain People” because of their very wonderful and simple way of life. But, from the desks of Amish America, which comes from these folks in their own habitat, they thought they would poke a little fun at themselves. They especially teased those in their own society who do not use computers and technology to the degree that we do or to the extent most of the rest of society does. The Amish realize how their relationship with technology must look to the outsider, and are not afraid to have a little fun with it. So, enjoy this!

Modem: What you did to the hay fields.
Keyboard: Where you hang your keys.
Windows: What to shut when it’s 30 below.
Log On: Making the wood stove hotter.
Hard Drive: Getting home during the mud season.
Micro Chip: What are left in the bag when the chips are gone.
Download: Getting the firewood off the wagon.
Megahurtz: What you get when you’re not careful downloading.

That was a little fun, and it is good to see that sometimes we don’t have to take ourselves too seriously.

SO, WE ASK THAT YOU ENJOY THIS BEAUTIFUL WEEKEND AND HOPE THAT YOU AND YOUR FAMILY CAN, PERHAPS, GET TOGETHER AND CELEBRATE LABOR DAY WHICH IS CERTAINLY A SIGNIFICANT TIME OF THE YEAR FOR ALL OF US IN THE UNITED STATES. WE ALSO PRAY FOR YOUR CONTINUED GOOD HEALTH AND SAFETY, AND MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND ALL YOUR FAMILIES!
